A Quest for Why: Adaptations or Theatre from the Gut

During my independent study this past winter, I worked on adaptations of non dramatic sources to the stage (define “non dramatic” as you wish). Thankfully, a visit to the Playwrights Guild of Canada showed me that I’m not the only one interested in these fascinating little beasts. In fact, they are starting a new adaptation guide and working on the issue of how to deal with adaptations this fall.

So read my article, learn about why I write plays (at all, and ones based off other creative’s material), and let me know what you think!
